50 genealogy blogs

Yarra Plenty Regional Library’s Genealogy blog recently received accolades in Issue 10 (May/June 2012) of Inside History with the theme “A tale worth telling”. We were delighted to be included in a featured article of 50 top blogs.

Penned by Australian blogger Jill Ball, the top 50 blogs that every genealogist needs to follow includes libraries, societies, personal historians, speciality topics, international sites and organisation blogs.

Yarra Plenty Genealogy which is one of only two Australian public libraries to be listed began on Blogger in October 2006 and is now also replicated on the Yarra Plenty Regional Library website . It has a sister site Yarra Plenty LocalHistory,  also found here which began in March 2006
