British Newspaper Archive

There are more than 8 million pages from historical newspapers that were published across Britain and Ireland available to explore on the British Newspaper Archive.  One million have been added just this year.
In recent months the following titles have been added.
Read the local, national and international news printed in Lake's Falmouth Packet and Cornwall Advertiser between 1858-1860, 1864-1866 and 1869-1870.
Browse the beautiful adverts and images and read the articles that were published in the Bedfordshire Times and Independent in 1906, 1910, 1935 and 1950
The Northern Whig was printed in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Search copies of the newspaper from 1868, 1869 and 1870.
For your Victorian Londeners read the Evening Standard, available for 1860, 1861, 1862, 1866 and 1867.
Search copies of Glasgow’s Daily Record from 1914 and 1915, with more editions from the World War One period coming soon.
Browse the beautiful old adverts and articles that were published in the Surrey Comet from 1855-1857 and 1859-1870.
Search the local, national and international news reported by the Watford Observer in 1864, 1865, 1867, 1868, 1869 and 1870. 
Read the local, national and international news reported by London’s Illustrated Times in 1868. Each edition featured a number of beautiful illustrations too.
Search the news reported by the Folkestone, Hythe, Sandgate & Cheriton Herald in 1913, 1915, 1924 and 1925, with more editions from the WW1 period also coming soon
